7 page argumentative essay ( 6 text and a reference page) . While you are encouraged to select topic that interests you, I also caution you not to choose heavily debated topics for this paper since you would find it difficult to add anything new. Topics like abortion, the death penalty, gun control, and drug legalization, among others, should be avoided since it is difficult to bring original thought to them.
Instead, consider topics that perhaps spin off of what we read for the Summary Response essay. Maybe privacy and technology sparked your interest, or the mental health benefit to having pets, or work/life balance, or diversity enhancing all endeavors.
