Cybersecurity teams need to look beyond its day-to-day functions when conducting BCM plan in order to help their organizations manage crisis effectively and develop the required procedures and operations to achieve their future objective. According to Dr. White, this crisis management framework requires a strategic planning to promote the safety of employees, customers and the public: it should protect business tangible and intangible assets and minimize business costs, and operation disruptions. Additionally, strategic planning must outline each team member’s role and responsibility within the organization. This strategy should also state what will take place in the event that an attack does occur and how the cybersecurity team will respond to it. Most importantly, the planning strategy must emphasize the fact that cyber threats are persistently advancing, and our strategic planning should be able to adapt to these threats so that we continue to refine our crisis management framework and overall security posture

As we begin to recover from the pandemic, the companies, organizations, and businesses are moving towards a new normal functioning that will be more digital, could-base,d and more remote and BCM Plan should be able to evolve with it. If the business still thinks that implementing a business continuity plan isn’t a high priority, there inviting serious trouble for themselves. An effective BCM plan should be able to keep the business and company up and moving through impediments of any kind and should be able to look beyond the business’s day-to-day functions in order to achieve its purpose.
