1. Augustine presents a view of God and our relationship with God that is different, but perhaps also similar in someways, to what we have seen in other cultures. How so? Explain.
2. Friendship is normally seen as something positive and virtuous, but Augustine warns us against its darker side. Explain his reasoning. How does he suggest that we respond to the challenges of friendship?
